Newport Colts 8

Not the greatest of starts to the season. Anyone watching knew the score didnt reflect the game. With just eleven player's and no subs it just was not possible to change the team around in anyway, shape or form. Yes Newport deserved to win but not by a six goal margin. The players are still not listening to what they are told and the quicker they do the better for them and any future performances. Several of the goals came from silly basic errors in the defence. Lack of communication, kicking the ball when you should be heading it. Everything going down the middle instead of going wide. When we did use the width of the pitch we were sucessful. You are told time and time again to play the simple passing game which is probably the easiest thing to do in a game and something which you do well when you put your minds to it. But we keep trying to do the impossible.....Two well worked goals from Eden Pardey was the reward for doing the simple passing game.....
